Mthatha floods response evolves into long-term recovery effort.

In June 2025, the Black Coffee Foundation mobilised a large-scale humanitarian response to the catastrophic floods that struck Mthatha and surrounding areas. We delivered emergency food parcels, hygiene essentials, warm blankets and clothing — reaching orphaned children, child-headed households and the elderly. But relief alone was never going to be enough.
